10% to charity 💰

I donate 10% net profits of every order directly to Canadian families who have a child/children with Cerebral Palsy.

My twin boys, Axel and Jaxon, were born in 2018. They were premature and had a tough medical journey. (You can learn more about my family on my personal Instagram. 🙂 They both have Cerebral Palsy, which is the most common physical disability, at a rate of 1 in 500 people in Canada.

Despite its commonality, funding for essential medical equipment (wheelchairs, standing frames, walkers and more) is often not fully covered, or covered at all, by the Canadian public healthcare system. Essential therapies such as physiotherapy, occupational and speech therapy are often inadequate in the public system, and out of reach financially in the private sector for many families.

I know how painful it can be to want to provide the best tools and therapies to your child, but not be able to afford it. That’s why I donate profits directly to families to help ease the load, one t-shirt order at a time.

Every order = perfect. Every time.

About Me 👩‍💻

I’m Michelle, the face behind The Furnace Room. And yep, I work out of my furnace room/office in
my quirky 1970s rancher in Langley, BC.

I’ve had a love of art and printing forever, but I also have a strong
background in marketing, having worked as a brand strategist and copywriter for over 10 years for agencies and on a freelance basis.

This helps me understand the value of branded items to your business and help suggest print solutions to meet key business objectives.

Having worked in screen print shops before, I started The Furnace Room in 2020 after having my twin boys and needing to work from home, but also to give back to the community.

I’m passionate about providing the highest quality printed apparel and merchandise to you. Seriously, I nerd out over this stuff.

In my spare time, I rewatch The X-Files, enjoy a great ☕️ and 🍷, travel, walk my dog, cook and experiment with new printing techniques and methods (yep, I love it that much).

I live in Langley, BC with my husband, twin boys and “velcro dog” Doberman, Perry.
